1. Sort and evaluate
Before you can think about creating a new look you must evaluate your current wardrobe.  Go
through each item, if you have not worn it in the last year chances are you will not wear it in the
next year.  Get rid of items you never wear or do not fit well. Make room for the new you.  When
you are free of the old you will be mentally prepared for the new.  You will now have space to fill
with silhouettes that flatter your figure.
2. Organize your closet
If you wear certain outfits with particular underpinnings, hang everything together, then next
time you get ready to go you will be ready instantly.   Arrange the rest of your items in
categories such as; slacks, blouses, dresses, skirts then color coordinate withing your
categories.  You will find your creative side when you get dressed according to color.
3. Assess
Now analyze what colors you have, do they coordinate well together?  How can you improve?
What items are you lacking? Make a list of what you truly need.  Are you oversupplied in some
areas, too many white shirts or jeans? If so stop spending your money in these areas. What
lengths, colors and shapes look the very best on you?  Write your answers down. Reinforce you
personal style image, know what truly flatters your figure. Wear clothing that visually takes 10
pounds off by matching your silhouette.
4. Swap party
Know other who wear the same size as you?  Organize a girls night out swap party.  You may
find treasures and if not you will have fun.  Donate the rest to your favorite charity.
