| Nanci's Life At the age of 21 Nanci opened her first retail store, a Pappagallo shoe store in Grand Haven Michigan. It soon became apparent that her flair for buying clothing over shadowed her shoe sales. Within a couple of years she purchased another store in Charlevoix Michigan. 14 years later, Nanci closed the stores and moved to California to studied at Body Beautiful, the world's premier color and image consulting school. www.bodybeautiful.net In 1993 Nanci open another clothing boutique, this time in Boca Raton, Fl. Because of her fashion background and image/color knowledge she held mini image seminars in her boutique, teaching all about, silhouette, balance points, 10 essentials, color harmony, style etiquette and wardrobe planning. Nanci also was asked to speak about fashion, on the radio, TV, and aboard cruise ships. Her boutique repeatedly won the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD for BEST CLOTHING STORE IN BOCA. After 24 years of fitting and dressing women, Nanci wanted to study portrait painting. She found the best in Chicago at the Palette and Chisel Academy of Art, where she studied with Clayton Beck and Scott Tallman Powers. Her painting Standing at the Shore, was the winning entry in one of the Palette's contest. In 2008, Nanci started painting portraits on porcelain. |

Burnside's carried everything from Cairn's skin products, to swimsuits, purses, belts, shoes, nylons, dresses, sportswear and nighties...providing every thing for the discerning buyer.
